Construction
Floor
Is constructed using heavy duty box steel. Bolted and welded to the chassis. We have cross member bars are every 12 inches under the horse area and every 24 inches under the living area. On top of the steel is 18mm hardwood phenol boarding. The horse area is then covered with rubber flooring mats and living is covered in wood block lino. There is also an under floor drain separating the horse section from the living.
Body Sides
Is constructed using 17mm (14mm on the Hunter range) GRP panels. Skirts are made using moulded fibreglass with a very strong reinforced steel frame. Fitted with a service locker as standard (not on the Hunter range).
Ramp
Is constructed using heavy duty 40mm box steel. It has a smooth aluminium exterior surface fully edged and trimmed. Fitted on the inside with 12mm hardwood phenol boarding, strong nylon mat surface and five aluminium ramp runs. We use very strong over centre locks, steel reinforced pull handles and two large rubber feet. Under slung springs are used on the Elite and Wren ranges. RT style springs or gas rams are used on the Hunter range. Strong 17mm GRP aluminium capped back doors are also fitted as standard.
Roof
Is constructed using 17mm white GRP fully edged and trimmed. In the horse section we fit 5 bar aluminium covings down each side, above the windows there are spot lights fitted. The roof joints on top of the roof are sealed with the best adhesive sealant available, then covered with an aluminium sealing tape.
Horse Area Interior Fittings
The walls are covered with leather cloth vinyl (to your choice of colour) at the top and lightweight EVA sheeting below, fully edged and trimmed. Includes one spot light and two surface tie rings per horse space. The strong bulkhead wall is wood framed & covered in 9mm plywood both sides, it has an aluminium locking groom’s door and the suitable wall covering either side.
Windows
They are hand made using toughened safety glass and aluminium. Drop slide with aluminium bars in the horse area and side slide in the living. Can be made with black frames and/or tinted glass (standard on the Elite range). The horse area windows can be made in an opening door, this is available as an optional extra as pictured below.
Living area
Has a large cut-through and sleeping pod (size differs on different cab makes). There are three 36 inch x 24 inch windows on the Elite and with the no.3 and 4 livings. A dome light is also fitted. Built ready to fit any of our range of livings.
Partitions
Our fully padded (to your choice of colour) T-shape partitions are constructed using strong 40mm heavy duty box steel, with sprung fire-out poles for quick release. They are fitted with partition tie backs. Anti-sniff boards can also be fitted if required.
